Classic Karate
Sundays at Pennant Hills and Mondays at Thornleigh
Designed to embody traditional Japanese Karate-do, the classes follow the 'Shotokan' style. Traditional Karate emphasizes three key components: Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring). A Japanese phrase encapsulates the purpose of each training session: Shin-Gi-Tai.
-
Shin translates to spirit and determination.
-
Gi denotes skill and knowledge.
-
Tai represents the conditioning of the body.
These principles form the core of the dojo. Sunday Classic Karate offers a minimalist experience, focusing solely on the students and a wooden floor. It is a distinctive and valuable class that we highly encourage all our members to participate in.
